Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is a American animal rights advocate, writer as well as a model and actress. Her movies comprise Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) and The Getaway ( 1972). Her desire to be an artist was inspired by her upbringing within a New York family of artists. After working as an assistant to photographers She turned her focus towards modeling and acting. MacGraw was awarded her Golden Globe Award, for most promising newcomer. MacGraw quickly became famous in the year 1970 following her hit movie Love Story. She was nominated for an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. With just three movies MacGraw became the most popular female box office star in the entire world. At Grauman's Chinese Theater, in 1972, she was able to have her signature and hand-footprints engraved. In addition to The Getaway Convoy Players she was also in the TV miniseries The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography was published. MacGraw was divorced three times.
